Jennifer Whittington, Miss Johnson City 2004 became Mrs. Justin Chavis recently. Both Jennifer and Justin are currently enrolled in the James H. Quillen College Of Medicine at East Tennessee State University. Justin is the Son of former University of Tennessee Football Defensive Co-Ordinator John Chavis.

Miss Northeast Tennessee Jessica Nixon, Miss Historic Jonesborough Megan Fox and Miss Johnson City McKenzi Hurt just returned from a trip to represent our area at the 2008 Miss Tennessee Pageant held in Jackson Tennessee. All three did a marvelous job representing us and this pageant committee is extremely proud of all three, they were fabulous! For their effors in Jackson each of the three girls received a $1,000.00 college scholarship to further their education.

Congratulations are in order for our Miss Northeast Tennessee, Jessica Nixon who won one of the Miss Tennessee Pageant's Prestigious 5 Non-finalist awards. In addition to the $1,000.00 contest scholarship that Jessica received, she earned an additional $1,200.00 college scholarship with her non-finalist award win. Jessica we are proud of you!

Former Miss johnson City Witney Crowe and Former Miss Historic Jonesborough, and Former Miss Historic Jonesborough Outstanding Teen Pageant Director Bobbie Marie Gregg showed up at the Carl Perkins Civic Center to show their support. Whitney is now living in Knoxville and pursuing a career as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative. Bobbie Marie is living in Nashville and just bought her first house.

The Miss Historic Jonesborough, Miss Johnson City, Miss Northeast Tennessee Scholarship Pageant was recently honored by East Tennessee State University President Paul E. Stanton and the ETSU Foundation for becoming Members of the ETSU Distinguished President’s Trust for donating in excess of $10,000.00 in combined Scholarship Donations to ETSU. Here Pageant CEO Elmer Harmon, Former Miss Northeast Tennessee Execuitve Director Sharon Stover, and Miss Historic Jonesborough Executive Director Jim Rhein receive the award at the ETSU Foundations Annual Dinner held at Meadowview Convention Center in Kingsport, this past February.
  
Miss Historic Jonesborough 2007 Erin Eberhart came to the Jackson Send Off reception to wish Megan, McKenzi and Jessica good luck at Miss Tennessee. Erin is currently working as an Elementary School Teacher in Morristown.

Former Miss Historic Jonesborough Keema Bowman Greenlee also showed up in Jackson to show her support. Keema is now a Cardiac Pacemaker Sales Representative working in the Tri-Cities area.

Miss Northeast Tennessee Jessica Nixon had the Honor recently of getting to appear with Govenor Phil Bredesen at the groundbreaking of the new Govenor’s Assisted Living Facility in Erwin.

Former Miss Johnson City Jennifer Whittington has just finished her first 2 years of Medical School at the East Tennessee State University James H. Quillen College of Medicine and just began her Medical Residency at Johnson City Medical Center Hospital. Jennifer is pictured here with current Miss Johnson City McKenzi Hurt at the Miss Kingsport Pageant Recently.

Miss Northeast Tennessee Jessica Nixon was recently honored as one of the incoming class at the Bill Gatton College Of Pharmacy at East Tennessee State University, where she received her White Pharmacy Coat during the College Of Pharmacy’s White Coat Ceremony.
Former Miss Historic Jonesborough Kristen Allen's twins are growing up and keeping mom, dad, grandmother and graddad busy, as if they weren't busy before!
The Miss Historic Jonesborough/Miss Johnson City/Miss Northeast Tennessee Pageant Staff recently attended the Miss Tennessee Pageant Workshop in Murfreesboro where the Miss Historic Jonesborough/Miss Johnson City/Miss Northeast Tennessee Pageant received the award for Outstanding Recruiting for the 2008 year.

Former Miss Historic Jonesborough Becky Davis Simerly and New Executive Director of the Miss Watauga Valley Scholarship Pageant also attended the Miss Tennessee Pageant Workshop in Murfreesborough with her new Winner Former Miss Johnson City Brooke Waddell.

Miss Johnson City 2007 Brooke Waddell (Now Miss Watauga Valley 2008) was recently named the First Runner Up to Miss Tennessee 2008 and will be representing Tennessee in the Miss Sweetheart National Pageant, in late August 2008. Former Miss Johnson City Kristen Shelton Fulton is now the proud Mom of 2 Girls Haley Brooke is 3 and Ashley Elizabeth is 11months. She is pictured with her husband Tyler and Haley Brooke and Ashley Elizabeth. They currently reside in Nashville, Tennessee.

Miss Historic Jonesborough 2006, Erin Collins was recently crowned as the new Miss Green County and former Miss Historic Jonesborough/ Miss Johnson City/Miss Northeast Tennessee Contestant Brittany Kyte was named as Erin’s new 2nd Runner Up.

Former Miss Historic Jonesborough Sandy Rieger and her husband Joseph just opened a Beautiful New Sandy’s Jewell Box, located on Oakland Avenue in Johnson City.
The Pageant debuted 3 new Scholarships this year named in Honor of former Miss Historic Jonesborough Sandy Rieger. The Pageant is extremely grateful to Sandy and her business Sandy’s Jewell Box for providing the Winner’s Scholarhships for Miss Johnson City, Miss Historic Jonesborough and Miss Northeast Tennessee. Sandy was also the winner of this year’s Gallery Of Honor Award for the Pageant.
On Thursday Night April 20th Pageant Chief Executive Officer. Elmer Harmon and Miss Northeast Tennessee Executive Director Sharon Stover were the guest of Grammy Award Winning Recording Artist Linda Davis at her Concert with Kenny Rogers in Asheville, North Carolina. They were discussing the possibilities of bringing Linda’s Stage Performance 101 Pageant Workshop to this years pageant.

At the Miss Tennessee Workshop held in Jackson, Tennessee in March the Miss Historic Jonesborough/Miss Johnson City Pageant received the award for Most Outstanding Program Book for the 2007 year.
On Tuesday April 24th Miss Historic Jonesborough Erin Eberhart, Pageant CEO Elmer Harmon & Pageant Judges Chairman Don Helman attended the Tennessee Titan’s Caravan at the Embarq Store in Johnson City. They got to met Jesse Mahelona Titan’s Defensive Tackle, Ben Troupe Titan’s Tight End, Pete Nelson from the Titan’s Staff, the Mighty T-Rac, Mike Keith the Voice of the Tennessee Titans and 2 of the Tennessee Titan’s Cheerleaders. It was great fun for all.

Pageant CEO Elmer Harmon announced the appointment of the new Executive Director of the Miss Northeast Tennessee Scholarship Pageant Mrs. Sharon Stover. Sharon was the 1st Executive Director of the Miss Historic Jonesborough Outstanding Teen and Princess Program. Sharon is a successful grant-writer and the Lead Probation Officer with the Johnson City Juvenile Court. She is very active in the community and serves on numerous boards and committees including the Moral Kombat/Character Counts Board of Directors, the Washington County CPIT Board, the Northeast Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth Legislative Committee, and the Alternative Learning Center Advisory Board. Sharon is listed on the Miss Tennessee Pageants list of Recommended and Accredited Judges for Miss America Preliminary Pageants. Sharon is pleased to accept this position and looks forward to a very successful year with this program.
Miss Historic Jonesborough/Miss Johnson City/Miss Northeast Tennessee Pageant CEO Elmer Harmon and Pageant Directors Jimmy Rhein and Sharon Stover attended the Miss Tennessee Pageant Workshop in Jackson March 9-11, 2007. While at the Workshop, this pageant received the "Best Program Book" award for 2007.

Miss Johnson City 2004, Jennifer Whittington, was recently inducted into the 2010 Class of the James H. Quillen College of Medicine. Upon graduation and completing her residency, Jennifer hopes to become an emergency room physician. Jennifer has is also served as Contestant's Director For the Miss Historic Jonesborough/Miss Johnson City Pageant for the past 2 years. Congratulations Jennifer on a Job Well Done! Miss Johnson City 2005, April Owen, was married to Mr. Benjamin Pope Lamb on Saturday, August 5, 2006, at the Range House in Johnson City. April is currently employed as a Reporter/Photographer with WJHL-TV, CBS affiliate in Johnson City. April Also served as Emcee for this year's Miss Historic Jonesbrough Outstanding Teen and Teen Princess Pageant, and did a fantastic Job.
Tara West Reich, Miss Historic Jonesborough 2001 was married on June 11, 2005 to Jordan Reich. Tara now works in quality assurance for Leiner Health Products. Tara and Jordon reside in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Stacy McCloud, Miss Johnson City 2001, became the wife of Brian Stanley on June 10, 2006 at a 6:00 private garden Ceremony at Maple Grove Inn in Knoxville Tennessee. Stacy is currently the morning anchor of Knoxville's WVLT- TV a CBS affiliate.
Ashley Martin, Miss Johnson City 2002 became the Bride of Johnson City, and Elizabethton Car Dealer, Steven E. Grindstaff on September 17th, 2005 at the Cransdorf Castle in Johnson City. Currently Ashley is dedicating her free time to raising funds for the new Regional Children's Hospital at Johnson City Medical Center.
Becky Davis, Miss Historic Jonesborough 2001 and her husband recently became the proud parents of Grayson, who attended both our Miss Historic Jonesborough/Miss Johnson City Pageant, and our Miss Historic Jonesborough Outstanding Teen and Teen Princess. Becky also served as Contestant's Director for this year's Miss Historic Jonesborough/Miss Johnson City Scholarship Pageant. Congratulations Becky!
 The 2006-2007 pageant featured the renaming of the Miss Congeniality Award in honor of Velma Jenkins Harmon, Pageant CEO, Elmer Harmon's mother, who passed away on February 16, 2006. Mrs. Harmon was a long time pageant supporter who attended most of the contestant practices and many of the reigning queen's appearances. Many of the girls called her "Miss Velma". The Pageant Committee decided to honor her memory by dedicating the Miss Congeniality award in her name and adding a new $100 Miss Congeniality Scholarship. There was a tie in the first year, and this year's Honoree's were our New Miss Historic Jonesborough, Erin Eberhart and our new Miss Johnson City Brooke Waddell.

Former Miss Historic Jonesborough and Miss Tennessee 1993 Kathy Brang Messmer is a Happy Mom living in Oak Ridge, Tennessee with her Family. Her Husband John is a Successful Physician in Oak Ridge and they have 3 Children Haley, Garrett, and Sidney.
Erin Eberhart, Miss Historic Jonesborough 2007 was chosen as one of Marquee Magazines Sexy, Successful Singles for 2008.
