The Jonesborough Civitan Club recently voted to make a donation to the Ryan Clark Memorial Fund. Ryan Clark was a Resident Assistant from Virginia Tech who was killed trying to stop the gunman during the shootings at Virginia Tech recently.
Civitan members across the world are remembering Virginia Tech shooting victim Ryan Clark, who was a key volunteer at a Civitan summer camp for developmentally disabled children and adults. Clark, who was a resident assistant in West Ambler Johnston Hall, was one of the very first victims of the shootings at Virginia Tech this week. Civitan International has established a memorial fund today to honor Clark, who volunteered every summer at Camp Big Heart in Atlanta, Georgia since he was fourteen. The fund will be used to expand Camp Big Heart's mission, and provide camp experiences for even people with developmental disabilities.
